03.May.2011 Winners Announced!

I apologize for the delay in the announcement of the winner. My girl has been busy and we were a little concerned when I picked the name of the winner.

Picking a family member was purely coincidental. Actually, I wanted to pick one of the carrots but my girl was insistent that I choose a name. It just so happened that I chose Salem, my uncle. “Uncle” seems like the wrong term since he is only a little older than me (although my girl is also younger than me — family is confusing!). We went on a camping trip together somewhat recently, and I’ll admit that I was a bit impatient with him at first…

… But once he got used to the trailer and I got used to his friendliness, we were good.

Anyhow, Salem told me that he’d prefer to have actual carrots rather than the Yes To Carrots sampler, so I had my girl choose a new name (I didn’t want her to make me eat paper again). So the SECOND winner is….

Valentino!

Valentino — a fellow thoroughbred — will receive the Yes To Carrots sampler set and he can choose whether or not he wants to share it with his girl.

Don’t worry if you didn’t win anything this round. There are more contests coming up. You can’t take home a blue ribbon after every ride! At least that’s what I’m told… I believe that I SHOULD take home a blue ribbon after every ride, but that’s beside the point.
